What better way to celebrate the start of British Summer time than taking to the roads around Kendal for this glorious sportive with a choice of either 40 or 70miles. Both routes are way marked and route card are available at HQ registration – 8-10am at Queen Katherine School Kendal (map here) for an 8.10-9.30 start for the 70miler and 9.30-10.30 for the 40. The course has been designed to take in the organisers’ favourite roads in the North of England including Paddy Lane with great views over Kendal, blistering climbs and decents of Barbon Dale and Kingsdale and a string of exhilarating short, sharp climbs. A cliché perhaps, but this is really a challenging sportive with something for everyone.
The long route has a feed station and the event is chip timed with hot drinks and showers available in the sports hall when it’s all over. Standard entry is £15, with routes, further details and entry all available at www.mytriclub.co.uk
