Friends of Herne Hill

Cyclo’s friends at Milltag are doing their bit to help preserve the historic Herne Hill Velodrome with pre-orders now being taken for their beautiful (and beautifully made) Friend of Herne Hill jerseys. The Herne Hill Velodrome (HHV) is one of the oldest cycling tracks in Britain, the last remaining finals venue from the 1948 London Olympic Games and a place desperately in need of redevelopment funds to save it for generations of cyclists to come. Milltag’s Friend of Herne Hill jerseys will be priced at £50 for short-sleeve and £60 for long sleeve with all profits going to the cause. Further charity information can be found at www.savethevelodrome.com and details of the Milltag jersey at www.milltag.cc. This is your chance to look good and do good. Go on, you know you want to…

Mod the Jersey

With Bradley Wiggins continuing to prove a tour de force at the Tour de France it could be time to head over to Milltag, home of some of the most inspiring jerseys available, to take a look at this year’s tribute to the great man. Following the success of last year’s design this one once more reflects Wiggins’ passion for all things Mod (think Paul Weller on a bike) in a British Racing Green and blue colour combo. As with all Milltag jerseys this is of the highest quality, with fast wicking properties plus a secure zipped rear pocket and angled outside pockets for ease of access. Probably a little too early for a yellow version, but whilst he’s riding high this is worth the £70 pop to show your support. Further details and online purchase at www.milltag.cc

TdF Fantasy Team

MilltagMilltag – designers of arguably the coolest UK cycling jerseys – are set to have more than a little fun whilst the cyclists do all the hard work on the Tour de France. Their “Peleton Price is Right” promotion assigns 10 different Milltag jerseys to their pick of this year’s favourite Tour riders (made up of 4 GC contenders, 4 all-rounders and time trial specialists, 2 sprinters and 2 “super domestiques”) to form a fantasy Milltag team. The price of those jerseys will then depend on a day to day basis on how well those riders perform, with promotions based on various criteria such as £5 off the jersey any for a stage winner, £5 off for wearer of the yellow jersey on any single day, £2.50 off for a GC podium position on any single day…
