Formerly the Christmas Cracker this great Cumbrian sportive has now moved up the calendar to avoid the potential snow and ice but still takes in some of the areas best scenery whilst avoiding climbs of the major passes. Just short of 60miles the route heads along the shores of Coniston and via Cartmel (no eating the pudding – but this the spot for the ride’s food stop), Grizedale forest, Hawkshead and Ambleside. Entry is £20.00, but do note there is no sweeper wagon/mech support provided.
