Tail-whip Triumph

BMX rider Daniel Sandoval has become something of an internet phenomenon after pulling off an utterly jaw-dropping, not to mention gravity and probably physics-defying, stunt at the Costa Rica leg of FISE (Festival International Sports Extreme). Before a packed crowd Sandoval served up what is thought to be the first ever – certainly the first ever filmed – 720-degree ‘Double Tail-whip’, which involves the rider taking both feet off the peddles in mid-air and spinning the bike four complete revolutions. Whilst Cyclo applauds the achievement, we can’t of course condone the post-stunt celebratory throwing of the bike…
