Samsung Electronics have announced their partnership with Bike Week, which is running a series of events between June 16 and 24 designed to both encourage cycling at all levels and to raise money for charity. The Samsung Hope Relay initiative is a relay all cyclists can take part in, simply by downloading the app from www.samsung.com then either signing up for a local event or organizing and registering your own; Samsung will then donate £1 for every mile cycled to a range of associated charities. Double World Track Cycling Champion and Samsung ambassador, Laura Trott comments: ‘Samsung Bike Week will be a great reason for people to get cycling and get fit during Summer. I’ve been training hard ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games, but everyone can get involved in cycling regardless of ability and Samsung Hope Relay brings with it the opportunity to raise money for some incredible charities.’
