A CX event that offers 40, 60 and 80km options for those looking to test the legs on a chewy course before the bitterest bite of winter hits. Head out south of the glorious Salisbury Plain for tracks and lanes that climb and swoop with terrain that CX Sportives always try and mix up with approximate 60% Road (mostly back lanes), 25% fast tracks (fire road/farm track),10% bridleway and 5% single-track (semi-technical off road).
Race HQ is Salisbury Race Course, Netherhampton (map here), with registration opening at 8.30 and the first riders off half an hour later, with last riders out at 9.30 (80km) and 10.30 (40 and 60km). Entry fee is just £19 for the 60 and 80km options and a bargain £15 for the shorter 40km, with full course marking, support and mech vehicles, feed stations (with free SIS energy drinks and energy snack allocations) and chip timing.
