Aiming to bring something a little extra to the ride events scene the newly launched Cycle Sportives UK will be highlighting some of Norfolk’s finest scenery whilst giving back to cycling at club level. The brainchild of long-time friends Pete Dennes and Matthew Willimott, who have been riding together since their schooldays, Cycle Sportives UK will cash-back £2 to clubs for every rider that signs to one of their sportives. Whilst things really get underway late spring of 2014 with rides set to include the spectacular-looking TORQ Round Norfolk Epic – a 175m circular route from/to Great Yarmouth – a taste of things to come can be has on November 24 this year with the first of their monthly Reliability Cycle Ride Super Series.
The company also aim to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance (eaaa.org.uk) who will have a charity raising presence at their events. For further details of everything that Cycle Sportives UK has planned and for online entry to their events see cyclesportivesuk.co.uk
