Since its launch in 2011 the UCI World Cycling Tour (UWCT) has gone from strength to strength with the intention, going forward into 2013, of truly spanning the world. From the hills of Saint Tropez to the glamour of Brazil and through the cycling heartlands of Italy and Belgium the 2013 tour has one more destination to add to its schedule… For the first time the UWCT will hold a qualifying event in Asia in the shape of the Gran Fondo Challenge Sri Lanka, running from April 5-7 and comprising a road race, time trial and criterium.
