RadioShack Ride Tour de France 2013

RadioShack Ride Tour de France 2013The Critérium International two-day stage race may be over – won in spectacular fashion by Sky’s Chris Froome, who blew away the final kilometres of Col de l’Ospedale – and it certainly didn’t quite go the way RadioShack Leopard Trek had hoped (Andreas Klöden best placed on the team, taking 11th on GC), but the boys from Luxembourg certainly didn’t squander their time. Taking advantage of the fact that the grand depart of this year’s Tour de France – the 100th edition – will also take place on the French island of Corsica (June 29) the team took time to ride and scope the opening stages. Along with some fearsome climbs and spectacular scenery RadioShack had the misfortune of being passed by Team Sky – although we can’t help feeling that being in cars doesn’t count…
