Mark Cavendish is to feature on a new set of seven stamps issued in the Isle of Man Post Office. The set, features images of the World Champion winning both the World Road Race Championship and green jersey in the 2011 Tour de France, whilst the £1.05 stamp (featuring Cav in the famous rainbow jersey) will also be one of the first in the world to incorporate augmented reality; snapping it with a smartphone brings the stamp to life and also triggers video of the world title win in Copenhagen. Commenting on the honour Cavendish said: ‘I’m proud to feature in this stamp collection and delighted with the images which have been selected… It’s a great honour for me personally, but it’s also a reflection of the widespread interest in cycling now – and that’s always great to see.’
